"The Night of The Cookers" was a recording of a great "live" concert at the Club La Marchal from 1965 led by Freddie Hubbard. This classic session was paid tribute at the Chicago Jazz Festival by an outstanding collection of today's heavyweights that included... Eddie Henderson and David Weiss on trumpet, flutist and saxophonist James Spaulding, Billy Harper on saxophone, pianist Stanley Cowell, Cecil McBee on bass and drummer Gene Jackson.
