The Latin Jazz All-Stars presented a magnificent tribute to the memory of pianist Hilton Ruiz and other recently departed Latin musicians at the 2007 Chicago Jazz Festival. The top flight musicians included Steve Turre on trombone and shells, Jorge Castro on tenor, pianist Arturo O'Farrill, Ray Vega on trumpet, bassist Yunior Terry, master percussionist Chembo Corniel, Karl Perrazzo on timbales and drummer Phoenix Rivera (son of Mario Rivera).
